What is an integrated wine cooler?

In short, an integrated wine cooler is a wine cooler that can be placed inside an existing kitchen unit. The front and door are slightly wider than the wine cooler itself, so the cabinet – seen from the outside – takes up the entire module’s space and has the same width as, for example, your dishwasher or oven.

Many integrated wine coolers also have the same dimensions, which makes them easy to fit in the kitchen and perfect when you want to always have wine at hand at the right temperature. An integrated wine fridge in the kitchen, for example, is rarely used for long-term storage, but more often to ensure that there is always drinkable wine in the fridge.

That’s why you don't need such a large capacity – but if you have plenty of space in the kitchen and want to store or display a larger part of your wine collection here, we naturally also have a selection of larger, integrable wine coolers.

What is the difference between a built-in, a fully integrated and an integrated wine cooler?

While an integrated wine cooler has a visible front, a fully integrated wine cooler is designed to fit a kitchen door that matches the rest of the doors in your kitchen. It’s for those who want a discreet solution and a kitchen with clean lines and unbroken surfaces. A built-in wine cooler is designed to completely replace a kitchen unit and therefore has the same dimensions as a standard kitchen unit.

The minimalist solution for the Scandinavian kitchen

Danish kitchens are largely characterised by Scandinavian minimalism, characterised by clean lines and simplicity. This is probably one of the reasons why an integrated wine cooler is a popular solution in many homes.

The wine coolers easily blend into the existing interior without making a big impression, and at the same time you always have perfectly tempered wine within reach. If you choose an integrated wine cooler that looks similar to the other white goods in your kitchen, you are guaranteed an elegant and complete solution.

Remember that it is important to give the warm air space to seep out at the top and back of the module when integrating your wine cooler. Similarly, there must also be an air intake at the bottom of the kitchen unit in the form of a grate or similar in the base.
