Wine cooler
When choosing a wine cooler, it's important to consider how you store your wine. Single-zone wine coolers are perfect if you primarily store one type of wine, as the entire cooler maintains the same temperature. Dual-zone wine coolers are ideal for both red and white wines, allowing you to set two separate temperature zones. Multizone wine coolers offer maximum flexibility with multiple zones, so you can store different wines at their optimal temperatures simultaneously. Find the wine cooler that suits your collection and enjoy your wine under the best conditions.

What is a wine cooler?
A wine cooler allows you to store wine at the correct temperature, ensuring you always have a selection of bottles ready to open whenever the mood strikes. A wine cooler provides optimal conditions for storing wine, maintaining a stable temperature and protecting your prized bottles. This way, you'll always have a bottle of red, white, rosé, sparkling, or dessert wine on hand for unexpected guests.
The ideal wine cooler for ready-to-drink wines features two or more temperature zones. This allows you to store different types of wines at their perfect serving temperatures. For example, one zone could be set around 7-8°C for white wines, while another keeps red wines ready at 17-18°C.
For long-term storage, opt for a single-zone wine cooler. The ideal conditions for aging wine are a temperature between 10-15°C, humidity levels of 60-80%, and protection from sunlight (UV rays).
Why buy a wine cooler?
If you are a true wine enthusiast, investing in a wine cooler is one of the best things you can do for your wine collection. Unlike a standard refrigerator, a wine cooler is designed to maintain a stable temperature with minimal fluctuation, typically between 5°C and 20°C. Moreover, the compressor in a wine cooler is mounted on a silicone base or rubber straps to absorb vibrations, essential for the stable storage of wine.
Considerations before purchasing a wine cooler:
There are many factors to consider before buying a wine cooler, depending on your needs and preferences. First, consider how much storage space you need and where you want to place your new wine cooler.
Our wine coolers come in various sizes, making it easy to find the perfect fit for your living room or kitchen. You might choose to install the cooler under a countertop or within a cabinet, integrating it seamlessly into your kitchen. This way, a bottle of wine is always ready to serve.
If you need even more space for your favorite wines, consider one of our larger wine coolers, capable of holding over a hundred bottles. It's ideal for those who tend to buy in bulk or have amassed a larger collection.
You should also decide whether you need a cabinet for long-term storage with a single zone, or if you prefer having bottles ready at any time and opt for a dual-zone cooler.
Some variants also allow you to monitor humidity levels within the cooler. While some coolers come with a built-in hygrometer to track this, you can also purchase a hygrometer separately to place inside your cooler.
Power consumption of a wine cooler:
The power consumption of wine coolers varies depending on several factors, such as the number of temperature zones and insulation. However, all wine cabinets are labeled with an energy rating to help you navigate your options.
Most wine coolers consume between 150-250 kW/year. If you are interested in an energy-efficient model, consider our offerings from Pevino or Vestfrost, known for their low power consumption. Pevino, for example, has launched an energy-efficient series of wine coolers called Imperial Eco.
Built-in, freestanding, or integrated wine coolers?
We offer wine coolers that are built-in, freestanding, or integrated, allowing you to store your wine almost anywhere and in any way you prefer. You might choose a built-in wine cooler to be placed under a kitchen counter or an integrated cooler within a cabinet. Our front-ventilated wine coolers are specially designed for such installations, allowing warm air to escape through the base and fresh cold air to enter.
We also have freestanding models that can be placed anywhere, including in cooler environments such as a garage, provided the space is protected from frost. Freestanding wine coolers should always have at least 5 cm of clearance on each side to ensure proper air circulation.
What else can you store in a wine cooler?
A wine cooler is ideal for storing not only wine but also sodas, beers, and mineral waters if you prefer not to use up space in your regular refrigerator. The aging and storage process for beer is quite similar to that of wine, making the cooler suitable for these beverages as well. However, items packaged in paper should not be stored in a wine cooler as they can affect humidity levels.
We do not recommend storing food items like chocolate and especially cheese in a wine cooler, as vapors and CO2 can damage the mechanical components of the cooler.

Installation and organization of your new wine cooler
If you are picking up your wine cooler yourself, it is crucial that it remains upright throughout transport. The compressor and cooling system can be damaged if the cooler is laid down during transport. Therefore, you might consider having your new wine cooler professionally delivered.
Once the wine cooler is in place, you should wait 24-48 hours before connecting it to power. It is important that the wine cooler remains stationary after transport. Additionally, ensure the cooler is perfectly level.
Before filling the cooler, make sure there is enough space for air to circulate inside, ensuring a consistent temperature throughout the cooling zone.
When connecting the wine cooler, be sure to use a grounding plug. This is for your safety, as certain models may malfunction. Initially, the wine cooler will use a significant amount of energy to cool all the bottles. As the cooling system operates for the first time, you may notice a louder sound than usual. The wine cooler will also start and stop more frequently during this initial period.
