The Style series from Spiegelau with its elegant and stylish glasses ensures that the glass is always the right choice for the occasion. Their modern shape radiates aesthetics and confidence. They simply have style – hence the name.
The series presents a relatively simple selection of crystal glass of the highest quality. Four different glasses, which together can handle any kind of winey task. Even the most demanding wine menu can be covered with these four glasses.
The elegant flute glass for welcome or aperitif in the form of the elegant and festive bubbles that can get us all in the right mood. The glass is particularly good for sparkling wines with freshness and delectability in the front seat. It can be cava, crémant, spumante, lambrusco or champagne without vintage. You can also serve a delicious cherry in such a glass.
The white wine glass is probably the most versatile in the series. It can be used to advantage for the more vinously intense vintage and prestige wines from Champagne. Desert wine can easily be served in a good white wine glass like this, as a large surface helps release the wine’s aromas. Dessert wines can be anything from light muscat wines to late-harvested grapes such as the German ausles and Sauternes from the southern regions of the Bordeaux district.
Oh yes, and of course it’s a pleasure to use the glass for its original purpose, white wine. And there is no reason to be limited here. Everything from the lightest white wines such as Muscadet or Soave to the intense overseas Chardonnays fit perfectly into this glass.
There are two red wine glasses in Spiegelau’s Style range.
One, called "red wine", is well suited for Bordeaux wines, which are rich in tightly packed fruit, barrel storage and tight tannins (also called tannins). Of course, there are many wines to match this description. In Italy, it is primarily wines based on the grape variety sangiovese, which is primarily grown in Tuscany, where names such as Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino are the most well-known. Spanish tempanillo from all over the country will also feel good in this glass, but also Malbec from Argentina will do well in the glass. Generally speaking, it is an advantage to serve relatively young wines with a tight structure in this glass.
The second glass, called Burgundy, is aimed at lighter and more elegant wines where you want to bring out the finest small nuances. Here we are out in wines based on the lighter grape varieties such as pinot noir, gamay, grenache and partly cabernet franc. Wines with age will also benefit from being put into a glass with this shape.
Whichever glass you choose, Style from Spiegelau is the safe choice for any occasion.
